• Question: This question is for Yu Chuen Tam, it said in your interview that you wanted to become a pilot when you left school, what made you change your mind and become an engineer instead?

      yes I really loved flying and aeroplanes.
      I did get my glider pilots license with the ATC, but could not affort the lessons to continue and gain a private pilots license.

      It probably for the best, because the work of a commercial piolot is relatively boring due to air traffic control restrictions and all the safety procedure and protocols which go with the job.

      The more exciting flying is below 3,000 feet where you effectively control th plane and fly by the seat of your pants, or be a military pilot. In future if I have the money I still may try to get myself a private piolots license and fly light aircraft – its more fun than a real occupation
